人脑膜细胞描述：
脑膜细胞围绕着大脑，参与中枢神经系统的正常发育。例如，脑膜细胞在稳定脑软膜表面的细胞外基质、组织放射状胶质细胞网络和小脑皮层分层结构等方面发挥重要作用。在个体发育的关键时期，用特定的药物损坏脑膜细胞将导致小脑皮质和齿状回的畸形。移植来源于覆盖在大脑皮层的脑膜细胞，可促进脊髓损坏的成年大鼠的轴索再生。体外研究表明，脑膜细胞能够向未成熟的神经元定向趋化迁移，而不能向神经胶质细胞迁移。
人脑膜细胞(HMC)提取于人脑软脑膜，于原代冻存。每管含有细胞数>5×10^5 cells/ml，此细胞通过Fibronectin 免疫荧光染色验证，且GFAP, alpha-SMA和Thy 1.1免疫荧光染色阴性，经测试不含有HIV-1、HBV、HCV、支原体、细菌、酵母和真菌。细胞可以达到15倍增。
